Lalit Aggarwal, Managing Partner, ReflectoSafetalks about his organization and key safety products in their portfolio, new products they plan to introduce in the Indian market in near future, key challenges related to OSH adoption within Indian organizations and how they differentiate with other safety products already available.
1. Please tell us about your organization and key safety products in your portfolio
We are Reflectosafe , we are into business of manufacturing Hi- visibility garments and accessories to make users visible and safe from moving vehicles and machineries around them.
We are pioneers in High visibility and reflective material segment in india , we are more than 20 years into this business.
We are focused on innovating and driving the use of high visibility wear and accessories and have successfully done it with our range of Bikers safety kits , joggers , runners , dog & cow collars etc.Our key safety products are High Visibility vest , jackets , Hi Viz Rainwear and Tshirts .

2. What new products you plan to introduce in the Indian market in near future?
We constantly keep on introducing new products in the market with aim to reach maximum potential user.
During and post covid we have designed reflective vest and reflective bag covers for delivery bikers.
We have introduced safety vest for cyclists for online marketplace like amazon.
We have recently introduced 2 products – Hi visible wind socks with Reflective band , so they are visible during day and night with very light weight material.
Cow Belt / collars : To make cows visible to vehicles and avoid accidents on road , we have made the same for dogs many years back.
3. What key challenges related to OSH adoption you encounter within Indian organizations?
Since we were probably the first company to start this product line in India , there was a lot of resistant to the flashy colours and reflective material not to forget Indian climate and the vest was an additional garment. However with help of safety consultants and many awareness programs , Hi-Viz vest was made mandatory. Having said that there non certified , cheap fakes being sold in the market , which may prove hazardous and waste of money for the users . With ISI mark being made mandatory through the latest gazette notification , we are hopeful things will change soon for good.
a. How do you differentiate with other safety products already available in terms of key features?
We monitor and study potential areas of hazards in terms of accidents and subsequently innovate and introduce new products. Every product of ours is as per international as well a national safety standards , we test our materials in our inhouse lab for best performance.
A3-M india is our principal supply source for 3M scotchlite reflective material for last 15 years.
There is lot of logic , practicality like providing skin friendly soft finish fabrics , providing utility pockets and other accessories as per working requirements and conditions.
