We spoke to Mr. Mannan Bansal, Promoter and Owner, Liberty Group to understand more about their focus areas in the OSH market in India.

Please tell us about your organization and its objectives to promote Safety in Indian organizations?
Liberty as a brand in the safety segment has proved its place amongst the top few branded manufacturers, with legacy of 70 years in footwear industry, liberty has always tried to be a market leader in introducing technologies to provide utmost comfort, safety and durability. Liberty shoes limited is the only Indian company that is among the top 5 manufacturers of leather footwear of the world. A range that is among the largest in the industry, covering virtually every age group and income category. Marketed across the globe through 200 distributors, 500 exclusive showrooms and over 6000 multi-brand outlets, and sold in thousands every day in more than 25 countries including fashion-driven, quality-obsessed nations like France, Italy, and Germany. The Indian market is still learning and implementing higher safety standards & compliances. Our objective is to guide and introduce the best safety practices in terms of footwear to all the organizations approaching us. The end objective is to make the workers feel safe when they are at the workplace.
What kind of safety products and solutions you have for the Indian industry?

Liberty is one of the Market leaders for Safety shoes in the country. Liberty has always been a pioneer in introducing new technologies which not only change the dynamics but also brings newness and improved solutions. Our prime focus always remains on quality and maintaining high standards. That is the reason our brand carries this goodwill.
Which industry verticals do you focus on the most with your solutions?
We have safety shoes which can cater to a vast and almost all industry brackets. For example: Heavy industries, coal field, Mining & Chemical, aviation, private industries which includes Automobile, Hospitality & Pharmaceuticals, Construction are a few. We have solutions for any industry which approaches. We do exclusive developments also for companies.
4. What are your plans for further expansion in India in future?
When it comes to growth in next two years we have plans to grow at 30 percent every year. Our main target is to educate even smaller industries to buy quality products for their workers which will not only elevate the working environment for them but also make the worker feel safe and confident. Liberty continuously strive in getting the latest technologies and machinery to remain market leaders through its 5 HumanTech Centres.
Going Forward there are few sectors such as agriculture where lots of times safety hazards are huge, farmer tend to ignore and not acknowledge hazards such as snake bites and working in water which can hamper their feet. So, we are trying to educate farmers as well to use products which will help. There are various industries and examples like this and our prime target is to spread the importance of safety.
