We spoke to Mr. Mannan Bansal, Director, Liberty Shoes Ltd to understand their focus areas in safety products in the current year, changes to the way occupational safety is viewed in the new normal post onset of the pandemic, innovations they plan to bring about in their products andtheir plans to increase awareness around safety shoes in the Indian market.

1. Please tell us about your focus areas in safety products in the current year?
Liberty has a safety shoes sub brand called ‘freedom’. The sub brand was established in 2007 to provide high quality, durable and most importantly indian make to industries. Liberty as a company has been focussing on developing products for all kinds of industries. Be in aviation, agriculture, security, construction, food processing, coal fields, auto and many more. We at liberty are using the latest innovations in the footwear industry and also believe in educating about what is new for our stakeholders. We have created a massive product range keeping in mind the specific requirements of our customers.
2. What have been the changes to the way occupational safety is viewed in the new normal post the onset of the pandemic?
There has been a drastic change in the ideology when it comes to safety post pandemic. The culture of companies across has changed for the better. After pandemic employees as well as management have become very concerned and aware about how important safety products are in an industrial or work environment. Many companies are investing to make sure the employees are given top of the line safety products. This in turn is helping them achieve great productivity and also a sense of loyalty has been won by companies.
3. What innovations you plan to bring about in your products?
We are bringing in a new range and will be launching the products in the upcoming quarter of the year. We are mainly focusing on making sure a durable and sturdy product is offered in the market. Liberty has earned its goodwill for being super comfortable and long lasting USP. Liberty is a household name because of the wide range we have to offer. We have around 500 stores pan India and cater to complete family from kids to adults. I feel really proud that we contribute in making the work environment safe for employees through our range of product.
4. What are your plans to increase awareness around your safety shoes in the Indian market?
Liberty through its freedom safety range is building a strong distribution network. We have big plans to advertise and also participate in various regions where we can showcase our wonderful industrial safety & gumboot range. We have a huge list of corporate clients which we are growing everyday. This is only possible because of the teamwork and effort of each and every team member at liberty. The Indian market has huge potential and scope and being an Indian brand we always want to provide quality with a very competitive pricing.
